i cant quite put my finger on it, but i've had this bizarre fascination with this band since playing with them in swansea. i suppose it's something i've always intended to do, but yet, never quite got round to doing it. anyhow, it seems our times clash as the swn festival. bugger! x

`the band were wonderful last night in caernarfon...not a lot turned up but those that did were in for a treat...there was free jazz, there was celtic folk, there was sonic youth and the ghosts of no wave....more importantly there were 4 people playing music and singing with more love and enthusiasm i've seen in a while...and you know what..? they all enjoyed themselves - it was a joy to be in a room where people played because they can and were not scared or worried about the size of their collar or the colour of their trainer...all hail islet...when are you next playing....? james x

This band is pretty amazing... except I wouldn't know, 'coz I'm not in the UK, so I can't listen to the godd*** player.. Seems like I'm still only as far as the idea in the beginning paragraphs of http://bit.ly/2iFVOW

This, to my ears, is the sound of utter dullness. A less interesting version of those early post rock bands long forgotten- Month Of Birthdays for one.
It's seams as if their aiming for Yeborobo but havn't the discipline or the brains for it. Poor world if music magazines are so hard up for new sensations they have to resort to this.
Come back Yeborobo and Shimmy Rivers And And Canal, your time has come!

Bugger indeed - I'm in LA and also got "not available in your area" - I'm guessing it's the BBC part of the widget - but come on - it's 2010 - did the Beeb suddenly turn into a 90's label?
