This is Islet

A Cardiff band who inspired two grown men to start a fan blog.

Islet were amazing live...

...so we made them a website.

Four musical savants generating controlled chaos with an energy that made two grown adults - one of them musical, one (me) decidedly not - want to start a band, break stuff and tear our shirts off.

Since none of that was seemly for men in our positions, we thought we'd do what we're better at and just wrangle some internet for them. Not finding them online really left us unable to express or indulge our instant fandom, and so we hit upon the idea of simply making them a fan site.

Even in the cold light of day, without any beer-fuelled enthusiasm - we're very excited.

In essence, Islet rocked. Not just "these guys were great" rocked - but "actually, we think these guys might be important" rocked.

We don't care if you like them too. In fact - we kind of hope you won't. They're ours. Go away.

I'm kicking myself that I missed the gig last night. How can I get in touch with Islay to find out where they're playing next?

Gutted I didn't get to see this band, but the pizza I got instead was very good. Islet are up there with pizza as far as I'm concerned, which is an achievement.
